Starlizard’s Data Scientists are focussed on applying machine learning and statistical modelling techniques to business opportunities. They work on optimising strategies as well as completely new initiatives and ideas. This work is crucial for improving the scale, efficiency and profitability of our betting processes.
Our scientists work in Python, on a bespoke data platform that enables rigorous interrogation of large and varied data sets with ease.
They work closely with our teams of sport experts to model and optimise decision-making processes. They are supported by a data engineering delivery team to implement their work to allow it to scale up as needed. Our Analytics team are expected to challenge accepted wisdom and create new perspectives. To achieve this they are encouraged to remain on top of new technologies and statistical methods to keep us ahead of the market.
